Tool box, led interior lights, 5% window tent all around, kenwood 5901 head unit, alpine speakers all around.
285/70/17 Bfgs. had to trim plastic take and take mud flaps off. It rubs maybe a 1/8" on the cab mount if turned all the way and backing up a hill. Cmc would be ideal for me.

What is the offset of your wheels? What size is your rims? What brand and size is your lift?

That's too funny.... I have 285's and looking at the 275's.....I guess one is never completely satisfied. My buddy has a dodge with the same tire you are running and he told me last week he had wished he had gone with the 285's and the entire time I thinking how nice the 275's look.

    Lol.
Ya it's always the way it goes. Try one thing and always wonder about the other. Never can be 100% satisfied.
What makes you want to go with a 275?

It's hard to keep the side of the truck clean when the tires come out past the fenders.....

I would also like to find a tire that isn't as heavy. My 285's are Toyo Open Country E rated. In saying that I don't think the 275's are much lighter. I am also considering the 265.....better fuel mileage wouldn't be a bad thing.

1st gen tundra wheels 4.5"bs/ cooper stmaxx in 255/80/17's i had done minimal trimming to fit 285's and had no problem with them clearing but these have plenty of clearance. they ride great, quiet, and great off road or in the rain haven't tested in the snow yet

I hear you on the heavy E load tires.
My 275's are E loads, and they're heavy for daily driving and stiff sidewalls. Great for trails but horrible for commute and gas.

My 285/65r18s have worked pretty good. No rub after a little plastic trimming.

Did you have to do any trimming? This is what I'm going for with mine deciding between 265/75r16 and 265/70R17 probably get the r 16 if they will fit on my stock wheels until I can buy some new 16"

    Never enough, never done.
I'm running 35x12.5x17's. Just sawzall the fenders, dump the mud flaps, and chop the frame at the cab mounts. No big deal, lol. Still rubs at full lock but who cares about rubbing at full lock? :rockband:

275 70 17 on mine with mud flaps still and no rubbing. 3" lift. Challenge with 275 is most tire manufacturers skip that size. Cooper, BFG and Goodyear have options.

Yes it sucks trying to find this size! I am looking currently and not wanting an E load only adds to the frustration.

I ended up going with the Cooper AT3's. Really happy with them so far.
