I was fine when I did it 3.5 years ago. I kept getting hung up on the tow hitch. That won't happen this time. I had side steps too at the time. this time is sliders. not worried in the least bit since I'll have armor all the way around this time.

Yeah mike ran it when we all did it a few years ago. Turning is the tough part.

I rode with Tyler on this one since I had just sold my jeep. Maybe we can convince him to go too @Socalduckslayer

Yeah I'd be down for sure. I'm curious to see how it changed after the rains we had this year. It's different every time. Camping on the beach back there is fantastic when the lake level is down, too. Gotta plan around that, but there's plenty of places to camp out there.

I went down it again about a year ago after doing the rest of the 393 powerline road section of it. That was a beast, and we were so low on gas we HAD to come out Log Corral. Only took a half hour that time versus the 6 hours of the powerline section. It was like mini Rug Road. That was a weird trip.. we were running so late coming in that we ran across a squatter camp back there with some naked dude hiding in the bushes by a campfire with all of his scrounged up camp gear. We GTFO of there and got to the beach a few miles away from him and camped out there for 3 days.

The entire 393 was pretty cool though. Goes from Sunflower down to behind Bartlett Dam just across the river from the campgrounds back there. We tried to cross the river but it was just too deep and the reeds were so thick we couldn't even find a way to drop in and try. Wasted so much fuel trying to get out of there another way.

He was so disappointed at how short and easy the trail was though. I doubt he'd come all the way out here just for that again unless he had other compelling reasons to come to AZ.
