Custom Made Gun Racks For Sale

Hello Everyone,

I have been a lurker here for a while, bought a few goodies for my tacoma here and my dad's as well.

Anyway, he and I started a new project. We couldn't help but notice that everyone seems to throw their firearms in the bed of their truck or their tailgate, or a table when they head out to the range. Inspired by the idea to make something better, we designed, and failed, and designed some more. Eventually, we had a functional design that worked great. So we decided to redesign it to make it even better. Now, we have had multiple people start to ask for them. We are about ready to make the plunge and just commit to making a ton of these things, but we wanted to see if there was any interest in them here. A lot of people here seem to have a love for shooting like we do, and we want to offer them here! I attached a few pics, and keep in mind, these are still a work in progress.







The top and middle picture is the work in progress right now. The bottom picture is the first design that the current one is evolving from. Trying to make it quick and efficient. Due to the cost of materials and the labor, the price will be $550, plus shipping if you are not local to Southern California. Slight modifications to it that will be clear around the end of the week when we get all of the first units shipped out.

It features a black plastic gun case, with an oak rack, CNC milled for precision. The rack features steel brackets and hinges with aluminum accents. It is solid and sturdy. It is painted black, and has grey felt padding in the rifle and handgun slots, as well as where the muzzles of handguns will rest. We kind of think of it like this... You go out to the range or someplace to shoot, and you take thousands of dollars worth of firearms with you, the picture above is about $15k plus. Here is a $550 dollar rack to protect that investment!

How heavy is the case when empty?

 

It is about 20 pounds all folded up in the case. Is that what you meant?
