If it was an early one, it was quite an investment. At least you got your money's worth from it. I remember looking at a Curtis Mathis model for 600+ bux in '80. That was a chunk of change back then.

So they were talking on the news the other day about the salaries of the actors on WD. The Big Bang Theory pays Sheldon and Penny $1M per episode. Andrew Lincoln (Rick) and Norman Reedus (Daryl) are the highest paid actors and make less than $100K/episode. The way the show is written, no actor can hold the producers hostage to enormous salaries because no one's character is safe from being killed and terminated from production. If Norman Reedus demands $1M then Daryl gets a visit from Lucille!

Not quite, my first was a Sanyo 2 head in 1988. $300. That lasted me a long time and when it croaked a new and better one was about $100. My last 2 have been given to me.

Totally two different shows. I like them both but Big Bang is averaging over 20 million viewers VS TWD and it's 13-14 with only a production budget of $3 million. Big Bang has a $4 million budget an episode for only 19-22 min. Set work and Special Effects is where TWD budget goes. I'm sure they get a lot of back end deals though plus it's good exposure.

My point is that actors can't hold the producers hostage in WD where in other shows the story plot would fall apart if an actor leaves. WD actors don't have as much bargaining power as other popular shows.

    nothing cool
It's not my original idea because I heard it somewhere. But I literally show my Blockbuster membership card at liquor stores or bars when they want to see ID. And, it almost always works. Like it said, it wasn't my genius idea because either I heard a joke or story about people doing it. Just saying it's fun to try if you still have yours.

Are you saying Georgia isn't full of zombies and other people that will kill you just as soon as they look at you?
