take it to a reputable body shop in your area. get refferences and check them see if they participate with your insurance company but don't report it to your insurance. explain what happened and get a written estimate from them. maybe a couple of good estimates. explain you would like genuine toyota parts and see if they can complete the repairs for the money you have or close to it.

I'd go to a second shop. First one sounds like a scam.

And on his words I took the 1900 bucks . I even said to the auto shop guy "so your telling me if you truck got hit you bondo instead of replacing ! He stuttered some bull I was see you didn't say yes so that mean you wouldn't . But mine it ok. I'm starting to think he thought about and seen some way to make extra cash he figured if I got the 1900 buck out of the people he could screw me over and all well in his life .

Dude your post is incoherent. Why the fuck is a shop, (your employee as you are the boss paying them) telling YOU how they're gonna repair YOUR truck when you are ready to pay for the new parts? This whole thread is bad. Stop.

oh it is a terrible thing my last truck was hit when it was just over a week old so i can sympathize. it's not the end of the world however. at least your paint is fresh and can be more easily matched. i've been doing this crap for almost 30 years. would i preffer the dents pulled and filler on my new truck no. can it be done and a good repair absolutely. if the dents are pulled correctly there should only be just a very thin skim of filler. hell most of your top show cars have had the whole body skimmed and blocked. this guy sounds like a dousch though and i stand by my recommendation of contacting a couple of other reputable shops in your area. have a sit down with the service writer and discuss the repairs and how youd like them done. pulling the small dent in the rocker and skimming it will be fine. the door however could go either way as it appears in the pic the dent extends into the body line. can it be fixed and you be happy yes if you preffer a new skin (which on my truck i would) on the door then have it repaired that way a good shop will have no issue with that. as far as the money goes idk what to tell you there. good relations with your neighbor is worth something. before you go and talk to your neighbor, if you do, get a couple of estimates and see what it's actually going to cost.. remember though they are exactly that estimates hidden damage can always be found that's why ammendments are made. wish i could help you more but just step back, take a breath, and contact some good shops. see where it leads you

See that where this went side ways on me . @Casper66 I've dealt with this body shop before a few time.
I explained the whole deal. The kid has his license 2 months . Father didn't want to go through insurance I could understand.i demand when he was doing the estimate new OME Parts . He said yes and tells me 1900 so on his word I went and got it .So do you think the 1900 somewhere else is gonna get me my new door skin and I could deal with the rocker being pulled thanks

Folks are TRYING to help you. Your writing leaves a lot to be desired in readability. No need to be rude about it.

Put your big boy pants on, admit you made a mistake, and go get a couple of good estimates and then depending on the price, have a talk with your neighbor. If it's not much more than you already got, then eat the difference for not getting the other estimates first. That was your fault, not your neighbors.

yes the small dent in the rocker i would pull and skim if it were me even on my own truck. the damage to the door would not be a easy repair to pull and skim because of the creasing of the panel. can it be done? as i've said yes but i believe i would want a new skin especially on a new truck like you have. be kind to the neighbor boy remember we were all young once and did stupid things. now contact some good body shops. ask them if they participate with your insurance don't ask your insurance company they'll want to know why. for gods sake you don't want it reported if it reflects on a car fax you just lost about 20% of the value of your vehicle. some here may not agree with what i'm telling you and i can respect their opinions. how you want this done is your decision but speak to some good shops and arm yourself with good information

I agree. You need the guys insurance info and police report. He can pay for the fix but if not your satisfaction then you go to his insurance company.

Almost all dents will be bondoed now because the metal is so thin they need something to smooth out to paint.

others may not share this opinion but i agree with sue about the money. if i had already gone to the neighbor and he had been so kind as to quickly respond by getting me the money i'd have a real hard time going back for more with the exception of if when doing the repairs the shop found additional damage
