as mentioned, we will need to keep the group small, at least for the rock garden portion as it's slow moving

 

Need to get this swingout done so I can use my truck tent for once.

 

As long as we don't keep having to stop to fix Jeep radiators

As you all could see in the video, pinstriping is a guarantee for those who haven't gone down that trail yet. You'll need to get creative if you don't have some armor and a lift, too. The first mile is the hardest, then the only other challenges are some really off-camber stuff a bit further in. The rest is sand/gravel wash that we tore through.

 

that rock shelf is tricky if your turning radius ain't so good

and then I remember a couple spots that were driveshaft eaters too

 

Yeah some tight turns in that rock garden. A couple spots that can catch a gas tank or a diff if you're not watching your wheel placement.

Truck Norris landed his gas tank on a boulder and luckily didn't crack it. I actually caught it in the video. You can see him going over a boulder and his left rear tire slides left off of it and right down on the tank.

 

That's some scary shit. I've found some scratches in my tank and it makes me wonder how close I've come to being stranded.

 

Speaking of Log Corral, we are doing a PelfreybiltFamily campout 1st weekend in December, details still being hashed out but so far looks like Sean and I (planned it) and the Pelfrey's themselves. Just throwing it out there for you folks.

 

Location?

 

North of Pheonix is all we have so far, possibly log corral or Crown King. Also, jokes on you guys, I dont even use gas to fill up the truck, tanks been gone since I git it. Turns out liberal tears arent just a good gun lube.

Log corral might limit some people

Crown king would be cool as 4x4's can do the back road and 2wd front. But my camping spots I usually am at only would hold a few trucks

 

We would have to go find a larger spot for CK if that was it.

 

CK gets sloppy with that clay mud up there when it snows, just an FYI. I love CK though.
