Just took the plunge. Not too difficult. The back ones were significantly thicker than the front and took more elbow grease. Either way, a marker, some cardboard, some kitchen shears and a little time. I went 5" off the front and rear. Looks much better. Thanks for the tips.

Nobody has a 3d printer? With one of those, you'd make a killing. Come on...somebody knows somebody!

I'll ask him. Not sure of the size that can be printed. 3D printed items have a texture of small ridges. I'm not sure it's perfect for mud flaps.

Seems useful. That's the first thing to scrape over speedbumps or when offroading. Nice.

Does anyone know why tacomas have such incredibly long flaps in the front?

Just did my flaps today with snips! Got em all within quarter inch of each other. I recommend waiting for a hot day and leave your truck in the garage so the flaps are a little warm, they cut so much easier.

I want to trim mine so it looks like a shark, or bear or something, bit them off.

On the backs I cut about a 1/4 of an inch above the 4x4 logo. And on the fronts I took off about 5 inches

I have about a 3in OME lift with 285 75 16s. When my lift was installed they took off my front flaps and gave them to me. I never really thought about why because I thought it looked better without them. I live in NH and salt and sand getting thrown all over sides of truck isn't ideal.

So I just trimmed fronts 4 inches to match height of rear flaps. Mod was easy, but second screw down in fender on both sides was a bitch. Kept spinning so I had to get a wrench on back which was hard to see even when I got under truck.

So I finally get them both on and when I cut the wheel they rub!

They rub right around area where lower fastening screw is on the flap.

I really want them for less mess on side of truck but I'll have to see if I can shave any off. Hard to believe no rub without them and rub with only an extra half inch or so.

    Any tips would be appreciated!

Hey guys! I just trimmed my mid flaps, the snips I had weren't quite strong enough to do it so I ended up using a jigsaw with a metal blade and it followed the curve beautifully! Did a quick sand to bevel the lower edge but it almost didn't need it! Just me 0.02 cents

When I bought my truck it was missing the left front flap so I bought just the front set from weather tech they weren't too expensive and are shorter than the stock ones which are strangely long in the front

Looks like the perfect daily setup! Is the rear stock or tsb springs?
