I think the eezi are just not as accessible and a little higher prices for most folks. I see one or two a year on my travels but a dozen or more CVTs and Tepuis. A few hard tips too - mostly autohome or jamesbaroud
I think most animals just don't realize people are up there. I want to try mine out as a blind for bird photography, just Haven't had the opportunity yet. The elks sure like it

Actually ran into a guy (quite an interesting guy at that) who was using his RTT and annex as his hunting blind. Had camo tarps over his jeep and the RTT on top with the blind facing out into a valley. Had a velcro setup with mesh to see out the doors and still be able to roll down the regular doors at night.

Isn't it illegal to hunt from a vehicle?

In most states it's illegal to hunt from the cabin of the vehicle and within a certain distance from the road to combat poaching.

Going to depend on the state. In WA the rule is basically as long as the vehicle/boat isnt moving and the motor is off you can hunt/shoot from a vehicle/boat. You also cant shoot from, across, or near a public road (near being more shooting parallel to the road). You can shoot from private roads. This guy was on public land but was ~50 feet off the main road in a campsite over looking a valley.

i'd get a grommet tool and put about 3X or 4X more grommets all the way around the tarp to secure it to the frame, or it will flap and tear itself apart in a strong breeze. lets just say I have a fair bit of experience with awnings in windy weather...
