    T55000 will not work with Schrader EZ-Sensor, or EZ-Sensor 2.0.​

    Hmm... I bought my 2014 TRD Sport 6 Speed last week, and I am trying to learn about it...

    I assumed that this button was used to reset the TPMS sensors:

    If not, what is it there for? I am starting to make a plan for the day I need/want to replace my tires. I will be on the lookout for a set of used wheels and tires, and want to know which year's sensors will work with my Tacoma.

    It does reset them. As far as multiple wheel sets, you might want to look it up but I think you can only program two sets of wheels.

    Oh, so the existing wheel sensors have already been paired with the truck... am I am correct in assuming that the computer will only accept one set of paired sensors at a time, which is why everyone has to go through this fun when switching out wheels?

    Pretty much. You might want to check whether your truck can have one or two sets of TPMS sensors programmed.

    Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.

    Recently installed Schrader EZ Sensor 33500`s in my new set of summer rims, cloned to my factory steels with winters. I also got the 34000 aluminum stem kit.
    So far so good! No more ODB programming... Reset switch and done!

    Bump this thread up.

    I ordered some used sensors, supposed to have 70% or more battery life left on the ones they sell. Got all 4 for the price of 1 new, so was worth the chance.

    Anyhow, are the sensor ID's on the outside of the sensors or do they have to be read with a scanner? Reason I ask is that each one has a unique number on them that I was hoping was the ID number.

    Hoping the ATEQ QuickSet TPMS Reset Tool mentioned in the OP can do what I need if so.

    You also have the advantage of extra weight in the bed in the winter if your summer tires are the ones with TPMS.

    Just checked in with my dealer (Exeter Toyota), and they quoted $60 CAD each (that's Canuck bucks) which includes OEM sensors for $50, plus a $10 mounting kit. Considering that there would be no duty or taxes, this is a pretty decent price versus ordering from Amazon. I'm planning to buy a set of steel Toyota wheels for my 2016 for winter tire use, and will pick the TPMS sensors up at the same time.

    What about using GTS?
    I saw in another thread someone mentioned using global tech stream that you can download a free version directly from https://www.toyota-tech.eu/GTS/Wizard/Step5-Software.aspx and all you need is a cable then.
    Not sure how true it is as anytime I've looked into it you need a subscription, unless a free version lets you just do TPMS and basic scans?

    I have a 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport. Going to get after market wheels and rims. Can i use this to by pass my TPMS system? Or do i need to either get those Scans or see my dealer.

    Your TPMS sensors may be able to be moved to the new wheels without issue. Talk to your wheel reseller first before investing in extra stuff.

    This that and the other thing.
    just learnt about this just now, but you can also make a TPMS capsule. pretty much just build a container to put the tpms sensors in and pressurize the container to the stock psi and keep it in the truck. ecu is happy, and no dash lights, also no need to reprogram anything or have to buy anything other then maybe some pvc piping, couple end caps and some glue lol

    A small trailer tire may be a good, easy choice. An 8" wheel with tire is small and you can put the sensors inside with room to spare.
