Anybody know of anyone really really good at cutting fenders?

 

i got a hatchet, hammer and chisel and a body saw, which one you wanna use ?

 

Haha I need someone to do it for me. I don't have a steady hand these days

 

what you needing cut ? Its always easier to hack on someone else stuff

 

does it need to be cut off, or wedged and then stitched back together

 

No I need 3" of my front fender cut off

Then 2" in the back

i'm out of actual body saw blades, been using shortened hacksaw blades in my saw, but thats not as easy to control and maneuver as the proper blades. A body saw with proper blades is capable if some scroll type cuts unlike a cut off wheel. body saw also doesn't create the heat and sparks that a cut off wheel does, so the paint and surrounding metal doesn't get near as hot.

i haven't got any real plans this weekend, just household stuff, still cleaning up after the storm a few weeks ago numerous other never ending projects

 

@mrbedgood what your plans for front bumper? Would you not want to get first. Then make the cut match the front bumper. I do think I've seen anyone cut there fenders with stock bumper. And don't forget will need to do either snorkel or fab up cover to protect intake under fender.

 

yeah, that makes sense, i was thinking he already had a front bumper

 

I know when i go bigger tires ill have to cut, so front bumper, Check, Snorkel, Check. I bought some high end hand metal cutters that cut a awsome. There slow and absolutely kill your hand. but great edge

I did think about that too. I just think my wife would flip right now if I got the bumper. I'm thinking of getting the bushwacker fenders and I know that trimming 3" off the front fenders will meet up with the bumper I'm waiting it get. That's coming from the owner for the company.

I just did the flares for the front, i'm going to use a friends body shop tools to do the actual fenders, the right tools make the job. Only taking 2.5 off the flares so it wont be a ton off the fenders. Then to pound the pinch inner fender stuff flat with a big ass hammer My prinsu rack came in too and a few days afterwards he does a group buy damnit.
