I did not tape off that section when I did my BHLM and those lights were very dim. I solved it by putting some much brighter LED bulbs in

Dude, it used to be 10th Engineer Batallion, part of the 8th Infantry Division there along with a nuke capable Nike Hercules missile battery. I was there in 1977 and 78 and then to Bad Kreuznach (8th ID HQ) as the Assistant Division Engineer. Brings back some old memories. I also was in Wiesbaden with the 222 Infantry Batallion before I transferred to engineers. Wore my Engineer brass while commander of an Infantry Company just to piss off the Infantry guys....great times over there.

I was part of the first Army units to move to Wiesbaden in 1976. prior to our arrival it was the USAREUR AF HQ. Germans got used to the Air Force guys, had a fit when the Army arrived. There were posters all over town showing kids being run over by tanks, locals were not too happy. Took a few years by things calmed down. I could tell quite a few stories about the annex bar in the Wiesbaden Arms (transient billet facility and Bachelors Officers Quarters). There was still quite a large us civilian population there cause the hospital (air force) and a lot of the logistical stuff remained even though the AF moved to Kaiserslautern. Wish I had back every deutsch mark that I spent drinking beer there......

I had my exhaust cross-over relocated, went up a tire size to 265/75/16's, and had a Wheeler's 1.5" life add-a-leaf set installed. I'll provide more details and pics later, but I'm having a problem with the springs and need some advice. The Wheeler set advertises a 1-1.5" increase in height. I have a Baja with the factory 1.75" lift in front, and in stock form the truck sat dead level. To get rid of rear end squat when carrying anything, I added these springs. This should have resulted in a rake that was very close to a factory OR truck, just about an inch-and-a-half higher all around. However, the rear is now 2.5 inches higher! Do these things settle, and is a 1 inch settling realistic? I'm worried about my rear brake lines and shocks - which can take an extra 1.5 inches, but not 2 or more. The rake is also pretty extreme and I have no idea how the thing is going to handle at speed now. Help!!!

add-a-leaf will settle a bit. Maybe not a whole inch though?

Make sure you post some pictures on how you mount it and please tell us what mounting brackets your going to use. I may have to put this on my list of mods to do.

Tufloc Tufbox by Esmet.com. This thing is a vault. Drawer is rated for ~200#, and I stood on the top and I way 160# so that's good enough for me. They have different models and sizes. They deal with fire and police depts, but you can order from different places. I think even Amazon sells them. This one measures 12"h X 38"w X 33"d. The lady didn't have the key, but I think I can get the number off of the lock and get a couple made. If not I'll take it to a locksmith and get a few made.
