I've got ko2s in 265/75/16 and sliders on stock OR suspension. I'll probably add full skid plates next season. Overall not much added weight from mods. The tires proabably add ~0.4" of lift. I really like the stockish look and benefits of std height.

Are there any companies that offer upgraded suspension kits (front and rear) that don't result in any significant change in height? If possible I'd like to get a better ride and better off-road performance without a lift.

New shocks wont make a huge difference, the biggest gain you will get is by simply removing the sway bar.

Traction bars in the rear do wonders too, but thats extreme and usually associated to lifted rear ends.

I'd suggest piecing together the 2017 TRD Pro's set up if it fits in your budget. I've had my Pro for a week now, and so far I absolutely love the way it handles/performs on and off the road. I had a 2nd gen with 5100s/AAL before this and you can't even compare the two (suspension setups) in terms of handling, comfort, performance, etc. Check the FS area, I've already seen a couple guys selling their Fox shocks on here.

You could always buy a set of coilovers and run very little preload. You could keep it the stock height if you want.

What, lol? Are you joking? Or drunk? Shocks are literally the biggest difference you can make to suspension, short of fabricated parts. Removing the swaybar is just going to increase body roll, not affect the ride at all.

Adjustable coilovers in the front will make a big difference. Icon, King, Blisteins. Depends on the budget.

I saw the offroad comment. Shocks are important but simply upgrading them with stock height and articulation won't achieve much. Getting the tires down and the pumpkin away from the ground is more important. Ride quality going from stock to a 5100 set at 0 doesn't change much either.

Again, that is 100% still untrue. You could upgrade the shocks and UCA's with extended travel shocks and STILL maintain stock height. Remember, all ride height does is adjust that, ride height, you still maintain the same articulation, and you actually reduce the amount of down travel you have when you increase lift. Alll it does is adjust where the wheel placement is in the travel. 5100's are a minor upgrade from the stock TRD's, but seeing as how the stock TRDs are garbage, any upgrade is a plus. Again, refer to my budget comment above. If OP has a couple grand aside for this, then Kings and UCA's and a new leafpack are well within reason and stock height.

Just removing the sway bar isn't going to do a thing except allow him to 'articulate' the front axle a hair more and cause his truck to roll even more around turns.

Well, this is the direction i am headed. Unlike the OP, i dont offroad at all. I am simply interesred in attaining the best ride possible. I have little use for added height, my Dynapro 265/70/16's are practically new. I am only interested in upgrading the tired 2012 suspension that has served me well for 70,000 miles. I plan to keep my truck forever. I will probably install Icon coilovers, in addition to Icon non-resis in the back,( stage1), and the Icon AAL .

My only hesitation is that it is overkill. Im not sure i will see the full benefit of this setup, but i dont want to half-ass anything on my baby.

Any and all input is greatly appreciated .

Volcom is correct. bishop is high, and not in a good way. Better shocks will increase the damping, providing better on and offroad ride. Coilovers are the best bet, though expensive. You can get coilovers and run little to no preload for no lift and get a much better ride on and offroad. With the (usually) stiffer springs from a coilover, and the better damping you can remove the swaybar and get better independent travel offroad. This will lead to more sway onroad but many ppl on here do this, and most dont mind it. You want better ride on and offroad and little to no lift, get a quality set of coilovers (king, fox, icon) and a nice set of matching rear shocks and if you don't mind the added sway remove your front sway bar.
