Speaking of bump stops, tried my hand on one rivet using the @BudMan drill method. Not bad, but waiting for help arriving tomorrow for the rest.

I bet the vibes went away as they settled a bit. Seems everyone has a different experience, and I figure I'll just put shims in from day one because doing it after is a pain.

Did you do the carrier bearing drop?

    YU no superbump?

Crom was getting about 27.5 droop from stock shock mounts and Bilstein 5100 -B100s.

Since I know that setup can get that droop at least, that's what I'm aiming for, roughly. The King -121-Dakar shock ET from DSM only gets to 25 and change, and part of that comes from removing the internal shaft spacer, and that can be bad (cause shaft binding). Hence my quest.

    stuff

No carrier bearing drop. Been in my cabinet since lift 2 years ago. Any vibes I get are gone every time I have the tires balanced. There's SOME play in it, but no bad vibes.

Will eventually do something for bumps, but I'm rarely mobbing on it enough to hit em at speed. I likes to crawl...

27" extended? What's his shock measure at ride height? How much travel to get to 27" extended?

Here are my calcs of making it work with Kings to OEM mounts:
22.5 in: Shock length at ride height.

-5.00" Five inches max up-travel (estimated compression of Wheeler bumpstop).

    ______

17.5 in. Compressed shock length actual

    -.5 in. margin of safety

17 in. maximum shock compression travel desired

27.25 in. max shock extension (minimum desired to get most out of Dakar droop)

    10.25 in. travel total

Here is his, but I have issue with measurement not including the lower of the two top bushings, which is approx a 3/4 inch difference:

Thanks guys! Unfortunately (for me) others feel the same way and they are getting harder to find. Even though
Someone with a 3rd gen 4Runner or T100 ditches them for aftermarket wheels errryday.

Total misconnection. Paid too much for them on eBay (still less than $100/ wheel) knowing that some guy, who is not on TW, Expo, eBay, etc., has them sitting in his garage. Probably because he switched them for aftermarket wheels and didn't know the value of a 4.5" bs, 7" wide hubcentric Toyota aluminum wheel.

Hmm. I should have paid more attention-I turned it on and it looked familiar. Like a replay. Oh well.

I got mine from derekabraham, a now inactive TW member, for $130 all 4. They were immaculate without any curb/rock rash, but of course the center caps needed to be refinished, which is so easy.

He is in San Diego, but so is my BIL, who was kind enough to rendezvous with Derek, than transport them up to me during a family visit.

    Dammit.
