    Tacoma Sport Upgrade
Hi, I'm a new member here. I drive a 2015 Toyota Tundra 1794 edition. At the end of the summer I bought one of my twin sons a new Toyota Tacoma Sport TRD with upgrade package. The tires that came on his truck were Toyo Open Country A30s - 265/65/17.

We live in Central Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. We have some harsh, harsh weather during winter (snow, blizzard conditions, sleet, hail, slush, rain, ice, you name it). I drive Blizzak DM-V2s during the winter and find them really awesome, however I've been driving for 30+ years.

I was wondering what others are putting on their Tacomas for winter? Both my sons are excellent drivers, but I want to give them as much reassurance as possible when facing our winter conditions. I was thinking about getting Blizzaks for both of their vehicles as well! My other boy is driving the new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 75th Anniversary Edition.

Any help would certainly be appreciated!

    Thanks!!!

You have the experience. You should be telling most of the people here!

Most of the winter tires out there are very good. Nokian, Michelin Icex, the Blizzraks you have, and a couple more.

There is no substitute for a proper winter tire in your conditions on paved roads. Some ATs do well in deep snow/offroad snow, but that's not the same as what I think you are asking about..........
