Air bags for 4wh pop-top camper
Just got my 2013 4dr v6 LB and had a shake out drive to Bishop CA, about 285 miles. Had to remove prior owner installed "FlowMaster" muffler duals (noisy and resonant) with a stock after market muffler:($265) Got 19 mpg at 70 mph (after 45 miles of "get out of town traffic) with some A/C and sea level (Southern Calif) and up and down travel to 4100' elev. Smooth and fun ride. Drove up to 10,200 ft trailhead, no problem and learned about the downhill auto-gearing options: really a smooth effortless downhill. Adding a 4WH Fleet pop-top camper next week after I install the Firestone Air Spring Kit to adjust the ride level. Only negative so far is very little storage in the front seat area and side doors. The center console is awkward with its driver side open and latch position. Options to add: 1. need more backup light visibility
    2. ground lights when opening door at night
    3. will the alternator support charging both the truck and camper batteries?.
    4. might remove one of the rear seats for more travel storage.
    5. Under-hood light.
    6. locking tailgate. (is theft an issue)
    7. Two meter amateur radio with detachable face plate (driver location not certain yet)
    8. Mag mount or NMO antenna.
9.A real tow hook for the front (where?).
    10. I'll think of something else.
    11. Two small storage box covers from inside the bed are missing. Need to check it out.
I did have second thoughts about not buying a 4wd version. Having said that, the very long 4dr and LB is probably not an ideal 4wd rig. I'll just have to buy a shorter Access 4wd with the LB for the mountains and desert and use the stretch one for the coast. (I'm dreaming).
