I installed a set of Spyder fog lights on my 2011 Base and everything works fine, except that when the switch is turned off it is still mostly illuminated.

I've included photos of both the switch on and off and the only real different is that the right side of the "oval" is dim when turned off. The lights work fine and I have it grounded.

    Any ideas what is wrong?

It's normal. Half is off and full is on.

The switch has multiple lights in it. One is on when your dash lights are on, the other turns on when you activate the switch.

If the switch is always lit when in the "off" position likely you hooked up one wire to constant 12 volts. If you have a voltmeter you can measure it.

I installed a similar switch with my aftermarket fogs that was also on all the time. Turning it over fixed it. I did have to file a notch in the dash opening to get it to install. Maybe this will work for you.

How many wires are on the switch harness?
