I piss next to my truck all the time. I don't see the reason to punch someone over it.

Trying to steal from me WILL get you knocked the f*ck out though.

That depends on how severe the punch was. A TBI caused by the punch could get him a felony. Depends on how the victims chooses to prosecute.

Alright, I think we can all agree that both parties were in the wrong in their own ways... but can we also take a minute to recognize that freaking punch? Right or wrong, that dude threw a mean one.

Guy that got hit was probably calling to have the Tacoma towed since it was parked in a "Commercial Loading" zone.

Wasted a day in court over it and they gave him a continuance

Wasted people will apparently piss anywhere.

Years ago I was staying in a youth hostel where some wasted dude apparently started pissing on another guy while he slept. I woke up at 4am to the sound of a scrap with one guy screaming "he pissed on me!" and the other pathetically slurring that he thought he was at a toilet. You never forget waking up in the middle of the night to the lights snapping on and the sight of two skinny guys squaring off in their briefs. That was one weird moment.

Needless to say I switched to a top bunk the next morning.

If the guy was either pissing on his truck or trying the door handle then this has nothing to do with trying to be tough. It has to do with messing with the wrong person and getting what's coming to you. You don't accidentally pull your dick out and piss on a vehicle any more then you accidentally pull your dick out and put in someone who's not your wife/girlfriend. Thats a conscious decision to be a complete asshole for absolutely no reason whatsoever. And if you ever make that decision, you'd better be ready for a fight if you get caught. Same goes if he was trying to break into the truck.

If I found anyone doing either of those things to my truck my reaction would be very similar. That's not "I'm a tough guy". That's pure rage, and its would be justified if he was doing either of those two things. If he was only pissing NEAR the truck and using it for a shield from the cars on the street then dude over reacted and is a complete dick for the punch.

I'm actually kind of surprised at how many here are sympathizing with the guy pissing on the truck. I'm not a violent person so I (probably) wouldn't react the way the other dude did, but I'm not exactly feeling sorry for the guy.

Just to be clear, I wouldn't suggest coming into my neighborhood and pissing on ANY car/truck unless you want this or worse. Just putting this out there....

At age 17 I caught 2 young kids breaking into my car. Not the smartest idea but I bumrushed the one on the driver side and gave him a beating. Fortunately the other kid ran and I didn't get jumped but still not the smartest idea

Killing a guy with a run-up haymaker isn't justified just because he pissed on your truck. You may feel like that's the case, but there is no court in any civilized society that would agree with you. And yes, that could have actually killed the guy. Lots of cases of freak one-punch manslaughters. I personally know one guy who actually did it and went to jail, and I know of another case that happen in the town I was living in.

The guy reacted like a hot-head idiot. That attack isn't justified in any sense. You're confusing justification with cause for motive.
