Hello, and thank you for this website!!!

I am hoping someone on this site can help me keep my gold 2003 base model. I LOVE my truck-I have been its only owner since its birth. Since 2004, about a year or so after I bought her, life dictated that I move from CA back to MI. Since then, she has been hit 4 times (once by a stupid deer). Of course, since NON of the incidents were my fault, I had excellent insurance which covered all damages. I have replaced a cat converter (why do I even need 2 of them on a 4 cylinder truck???), the muffler/exhaust and ABS sensor recently, front brakes a long time ago, and bearings on the front left replaced. Other than those repairs, I have had a great experience owning my little truck. She has yet to hit 120,000 miles.

On 10/21/2016, 2 days after I had to get the least expensive insurance I could (a step above state minimum), some non-driver backed out of her drive way and plowed into me. Moved the entire front end over just enough to keep my driver's side door banging into the lt quarter panel, and totaled my rt quarter panel, the rt turn signal light/housing, the front bumper and the hood!!

It is only worth about 3 grand (would be 35 hundred, but I need a charcoal canister filter), (the parts and repair cost are well over 4 grand) and I know I should probably sell it, but I am emotionally attached. Had her trucked from CA in 2004, regular maintenance done, and every little noise checked out and whatever repairs she needed done. Now I only work PT (only job I have been able to find this year) and I can't afford proper insurance for her, let alone the repairs she needs now.

So if there is someone on this site who has any suggestions on how I can keep her, or who maybe (SIGH) wants to buy her for her engine and whatever parts you could harvest from her, please. let me know. She is a great little truck...........and this whole state of affairs is breaking my heart...........

BTW, because of the STUPID laws here in MI, I can only recover $1000 from the accident.
