I have to say, we are all very fortunate to own such awesome trucks. No matter what we all decide to do with them to suit our needs, wants, likes, or just personalities! When I am out driving around in my 16 with all the mods and $$$ in it, and got lots of looks, comments, and thumbs up! I still admire and turn my head to take a second glance at any Tacoma that I drive by. So enjoy and be thankful my Tacoma brethren!

You know, the more I see the 3rd gen tacomas the more the style and look is growing on me. Especially with so many after market products out there for them. If I didn't love my 2015 Pro so much and have so much money already invested in it, I would be in a 3rd Gen. Trucks are looking good everyone.

Yes, I've got the AMP running boards too and they are great. Wife loves them... Now I've got to get the Bushwacker Pocket Flares.
You have a great looking truck. All best -

Yes, lights are included. And if you are really lifted you can get 2" extensions. I probably could have used them, but is ok without.

Thanks, I have tried not to skimp, but get the best deals on everything at the same time. I really enjoy it, especially with the new gears!

Gear update, mpgs still adjusting upward. Second full tank after regear averaged 18.1, mixed driving. Just had fluid changed out yesterday at about 750 miles. Used Valvoline synthetic 75w90. Love the way it is driving now. Cost $2000 and $100 to have fluid changed yesterday.

The Lamin x film? You can wash them in dishsoap and re-apply them. I only had issue with one side constantly lifting, but I carried a small screwdriver type tool in my truck to push it back down for about a week and it finally conformed. They came out perfect in the end.

As far as removing the trim bezel, they can be tough, but I reached over behind the headlights and stuck my hands down there to pinch the center of the tab and push the trim piece outwards. Came off really easy this way. The hardest part was feeling the tabs as you can't really see too many.

The Lamin-x will restick after washing with dish soap? The bubbled parts aren't sticky at all after 1 day of not adhering.
Thx for the tip on bezel removal.

I think the instructions even say you can clean them offf and the adhesive will work again. Mine lifted on small areas less than 4mm long along the edges. Drove for a week and didn't notice any dirt stuck to it and I kept pressing them back down till the finally stuck. Zero lifting now. I'll see if I can get pics tomorrow in the day. They don't go fully around the lens though. Just FYI. I had to peel off twice to re-center the film, but it's not noticeable once the trim bezel goes back in place.

It's like a suspension install live blog!!

As the day progresses we will see misspelled words and bottles start to litter the ground beneath the truck. Finally culminating in the right rear sitting on the frame and a 'fuk-it pease-out' post.

Did this in my sti. Still waiting for my truck to come in but this will be one of the first mods I do for sure. So convient and looks awesome. The only difference I did was put a toggle switch
[IMG] DIY: Engine Bay Work Lights
With ~11K miles on the car, I've gotten sick of using an under powered work torch when doing work under the hood. So, I had the idea to fab an LED lighting system for the engine bay specifically for use when doing engine work.

Here's how I did it. It's super easy!

    Parts list:
-2x 10W high powered LED's Vollong 10W White High Power Linear COB LED | High Powered | Component LEDs | Super Bright LEDs
-Some 18 Gauge Insulated copper stranded wire
    -Solder
    -Heat shrink for wire
    -Liquid rubber
    -Minifuse Tap
    -3M Double side foam tape

The two led strips are basically hooked up in parallel and foam taped to the part of the hood shown. It is important to place them there because it is the only part of the hood which is parallel with the ground when it is open.

The wiring is then snaked under the insulating shroud on the hood and run along the driver side hinge. The positive is minifused into where the Audio Amp fuse is with a 10 Amp fuse so that they can be run with the car on or off (with or without a key present) and the negative is grounded to the grounding bolt on the driver side strut tower.

You will need to put a total of 1.5-2 ohms resistor in line to protect the leds from the variable voltage of when the car is on or off. These resistors must be able to handle at least 10W or you might get a smoking hood ><

You will want to splice in a switch somewhere so it's not on all the time killing your battery and you will definitely want to heat shrink EVERY single connection to make it as short proof as possible! The last step is just to tape off then give a quick spritz of LeakSeal or "FlexSeal"(Billy Mays may he rest in peace) over the contacts on the LEDS to make sure they are short proof!

Viola! You have something around 1500 Lumens of white light to make your engine bay bright and workable anytime anywhere - be it in your garage, or in the middle of a breakdown on the side of a dark road!

If You have any questions Post or PM me! I'd be more than happy to help or clarify!
