When I bought my 2011 DCSB I told the salesman if they installed side rails I would buy the truck, so they did. After I got home and really looked at the rails and after the wife got into the truck the first time I sure would like for the rails to be 1" lower. It would help her get into the truck. I called the dealership and couldn't find out what brand the rails were. Looked on the web and it's easy, they are 5" Oval rails. I looked at the brackets and I don't really see anyway to lower unless I maybe use some type of 1" spacer at the truck to bracket joint. I see on the web some brands are lower than the ones I have. I hate to go buy another set, I really like the way mine look on the truck. Do I have any options?

I lifted my truck recently and have steps but I still keep a fold-able step stool in the truck for the wife.

yes just get some steel 1" spacers and paint them and then get the appropriate longer metric bolts.
