I have a Pyrite Mica rear bumper for anybody interested, $100, no shipping. I figured it was worth a shot. Colorado springs is the location.

2015 DCLB here, nothing special yet. Just got some Goodyear duratracs on it last week and can't wait to get it off road more and see how they do in the snow!
This was before the duratracs, but a cool picture I think!

I did some stuff this weekend and I feel like I need to share it. Nothing special, just took some badges off and cleaned, clay-barred and sealed the paint for winter!

I tried to paint the whole truck white but it didn't stick...... haha jk This is using the Chemical Guys Foam cannon, it's a lot of fun! When I bought the truck a few moths ago it already had the holes for the front plate, which I hate although is must have in Iowa. All I did was put the screws back in after I painted them with some touch up paint. It looks alright, better than open holes or a plate on the front.

I left the TRD Sportr stickers but took off the rest of the emblems. I'm on the fence about taking off or leaving the stickers. We'll see what happens..... It'll probably wait till spring since anyways. Getting the adhesive off from the emblems at 45 degrees wasn't fun! lol

Make sure to wash the truck first to get dirt and other stuff off that may scratch the truck before starting. I used a heat gun (1200 watts) on low about 6 inches away from the badge and slowly moved it across the badge for about 20-30 secs (do not hold it one spot for too long or you could do damage to the badge or paint, if you hold it place while removing the badge make sure to move it further away like 10-12") or until you can feel it start to come off the truck pretty easy. I used a plastic razor blade and some mechanics gloves(because it wilL get hot), but I'm sue you can use other tools that won't scratch or mar the paint(the plastic interior removal tools at harbor freight and such would work good). When using the plastic razor I just started to gently get under the letters and gently pry or lift them from the body. Notice gently is used a lot here. The warmer it is outside the better. I personnally would not recommend doing it outside if its less than 50 degrees unless you have a heated garage. This makes get the extra adhesive off easier. As far as getting the adhesive off if it's just the double stick part that's left then roll it off with your thumb. Once that's off you'll have some leftover junk. Some came off googone, but for most of it I used some Meguiars Scratch X 2.0 (at any parts store), a couple micro fibers (one to apply and one to wipe off) and lot of elbow grease. If you do it by hand like I did it will take about 10-15min a badge, but I'm anal. If your confident with a buffer/polisher it will be faster. After that I clay bared to get any other left over crud. Some vehicle the adhesive come off easier that other others. No rhyme or reason to it, my old xB was cake. One Grand Prix I did was really easy and the other one not so much.

But at this point you may hate the new shinnyness of those spots agasint how dull the rest of the truck will be now and want to clay bar the whole truck. Lol If you do that make sure to wax or seal your paint (out of sunlight) because it's pretty much naked now and you'll want to protect it. This makes something that started off as a 30-45 min deal into a few hours. Haha It's not 100% nessacary but if you live in a harsh climate or an area where they use lots of corrosive crap to melt snow on the roads like I do then anything helps! I hope I made it pretty easy to follow. Good luck!!

I'm a fan of some of their stuff and some I'm not. Their snow foam for a foam cannon is a great product. Just like the picture above, it really paints the vehicle white allowing dirt to be lifted off and rinses off easy with a regular hose or pressure washed off.

As for products I'm not a fan of, their wheel cleaner known as Diablo is to me, nothing more than a product that has a smell like candy. I've done different mixtures with it, and really don't find it to be worth using especially compared to products from other companies.

I'm also not a fan of their glass cleaner; again it's to me nothing more than good smelling product. Tried all kinds of mixtures of it and find other glass cleaners to do a much better job.

Have a look at auto geek for comparrisons on chemical guys vs others. There you can see what's good and not.

This is going to be a little long winded, sorry in advance. haha

Personally I think it's pretty good stuff depending on what is available locally, I like supporting local. But is it the best company out there for every product? That's debatable. Not one company has the best products for all areas of the car, Chemical Guys definitely makes good products for most. It's no question the Chemical Guys foam cannon and soap is hard to beat, defiantly worth the $$$. The Meguiars Synthetic Sealant compared to Chemical Guys JetSeal is pretty even. A good friend of mine has used both and they both last about as long(4 months or so, lots of factors that can change that), both are easy to apply and both create a really nice shine. But I prefer Meguiars "detailer" lineup for most everything else. Most of the cleaners are in bulk which saves in the long run while the sealants and waxes are generally in pretty good sizes also. For instance the glass cleaner alone is 10:1 mix with water (I like to use bottled water or filtered water for less spots and streaks) will make about 1280 oz of glass cleaner for roughly $24 locally. It smells great (like blueberries!!) and works better than any other glass cleaner I've used. My FAVORITE product from Meguiars has to the Synthetic XPress Wax( https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-D15601-Synthetic-X-Press-Spray/dp/B005JPJMI2 )It is a simple spray wax that can be used as a wax as you dry, go on dry, canbe used on paint, plastic, glass, rubber trim, chrome, and I'm sure many more areas. Doesn't leave streaks and lets water bead like crazy and it lasts a lot longer than any spray wax I've used. It is pretty cheap considering you get a gallon of it and it goes pretty far. I get the Meguiars because it is locally available for me and cheap! Another tip that helps while washing and rinsing is to get an RV water filter that hooks up to the hose, it helps keep down on water spots and usually lasts about 1 summer for me. I get it at menards for about $15. You'll notice it in one picture, the blue thing hanging off the hose going into the bucket and since it connects to the hose it works for the power washer too:)

This is my wifes Ford Fusion paint shining nice! No fancy camera or editing. It's not perfect like I've seen some people get. But this is by hand with no power tools. It's near impossible to get smooth as glass without a polisher.
    IMG_44321_zps7odpscgy_4f70b5c6e9081ea5b45642d5aadddb64747dcc5b.jpg

And this is some of my line up, nothing compared to some out there though. I don't have any power tools yet......

    That is the one.

There are lots of reasons that I chose that one over the many other options. Many of those reasons have been stated on here time and time again, but I know a lot of people prefer other styles as well.

Main reasons: pics of bumper after impact with deer and other animals. The fact that I got a discount through trdparts4u and was able to pick up locally and avoid shipping also helped.

Thank you very much! But I'm by no means an expert! lol I may post one up one of these days, I want to try a few more products and winter is coming which means more inside time to write detailed detailing posts. I can say this, Gel tire shines SUCK!!! Especially if you have aggressive tires. Its difficult to put on evenly with the large voids that aggressive tires have and usually takes forever to dry which will cause the stuff to fling when you drive and get all over your fresh clean paint. I have found that are-sol generally works the best, but sadly doesn't last that long. Stoners makes a good one for a reasonable price, it covers evenly, doesn't fling, and it works well on some plastics on the vehicle too. I have also tried a new meguiars are-sol that was like $15 (too much but I had to try it) and so far it is lasting really well and gives a nice natural shine but with bigger tires like most of us have, a can only lasts pretty much one wash. Won't do that again!!! lol

I do however want a 3" lift eventually, but I won't make a thread about it. lol Like you said, there are too many already out there.
