Hey everyone my name is Shaun. I am 32 yrs old and have owned nothing but gm and ford vehicles. I did own a 2007 toyota avalon that constantly gave us problems with the coil packs, but thats in the past. Im trying to decide if I should jump the fullsize GM ship and go with a tacoma. I have 2 kids, ages 7 and 1. I am 6'2" 215 pounds. I have sat in a tacoma, front and rear and its much tighter than say a sierra, but i do fit okay. What I have found is a 2009 Tacoma Prerunner SR5 Long bed double cab. It has the back up camera and a jbl stereo/pioneer screen in the dash. What looks to have been done to this truck modification wise? Does it have a lift?

I know Im on a Tacoma site, but i posted this same question on my chevy truck site. I know I get more space on the fullsize, and v8 power. How does the tacoma v6 stack up acceleration wise and if you guys would choose the tacoma, what are some good reasons as to why? Thanks and Im excited to be a new member! Ill attach some pictures of the tacoma im looking at

Give us a link or price, I have owned full size trucks all my life till this Tacoma, I'm the same height as you and fit comfortably (actually very comfortably, I have to scoot my seat forward to reach the pedals just right), love the Tacoma, reliable, sharp ... and this community on TW is fantastic! Nice truck, just need some more details! Lol

It's got a Sport hood and TRD/Sport seats it looks like, so not sure....

it may be a SR5 with Sport "add-on's" or whatever the term is

those years stated that all the TRD's were SR5's and yes that is a sport model with the nicer interior and the color matched side mirrors and grill...

can't answer the lift question, but IMO TRD seats/interior (Sport or Off Road) are far better than SR5. Sport has all the color matched stuff as well, which a lot of people like compared to the chrome.

If you plan to resale it won't be as high on he prerunner..... also I went from a 03 duramax to a 08 duramax and then now have my 06 access cab Tacoma 4 cyl 5 speed.... I absolutely love it!! If you want a Tacoma I wouldn't buy the first one you find... and I wouldn't buy without taking in a decent test drive!! All that being said if you tie much keep the gm the 5.3 USA proven power plant that can't really be beat!!

All the usual diesel truck mods- fuel system upgrade, programmer, CAI, intake manifold, 60MM stealth turbo
The truck appears to be at least leveled in the front and the stereo head unit is aftermarket. Neither of these necessarily hurts or helps the value. I'd verify that the subwoofer behind passenger rear seat is still connected with head unit upgrade. Based on the photos it appears to have been loved and well taken care of. Nice shell and carpet kit. With that said it is an sr5 with the sport package and that's a significant upgrade. Good luck and report back if you got it or not. I'd negotiate the price for sure and just tell them you'll pay xx,xxx otd. Just be fair and reasonable in your offer and you'll need to be willing to walk away. If you make a fair offer they'll most likely stop you before you drive away or call you shortly after

@Shaun23a11en My '10 DCSB prerunner sport stock suspension and wheels with 94k got $16,700 on trade and was listed for $20,000 and sold within a week. Not sure what it sold for, but I'd say offer 17k which is a great deal and not pay more than 18,500ish. Bonus is a long bed with camper
