What would be the closest size tire to a 33/12.50/17 if the one you want doesn't come in that size?

Will depend a little on the particular tire you're looking at - sizing varies between brands just a tad. Most all tire brands list the full specs for their tires on their websites.

But, say in a Cooper ST MAXX - 285/70/17 is 32.99" diameter and 11.5" section width. They make a 295/70/17 too that is 33.17" and 12" width.

That's a common tire size and you should be able to find them, but if not, your best options are:

    285/70/17 (32.7x11.2x17) shorter and skinnier

    or

    255/80/17 (33.1x10x17) taller and skinner

Wondering how it all turned out and how it fit? I am looking at the 305/65r17 and haven't decided on a rim but 4.5" backspacing is pretty much standard for most all 17x9 rims.
What type of lift did you have? Alignment specs? Anything you had to do for trimming?
