Any recommendations for a decent PA system that isn't going to cost a lot? I just want one to have fun with on occasion. My friend has one in his F-150 and it fits very well in his truck, but I want one that I can keep out of the way in my Tacoma. Also does anyone have any good recommendations of a good radar detector for the money?

most if not all CBs come with a PA system. You can get them for under $40.

How good is the speaker that come with those CB's? Is there like certain numbers I should look for in the specs on the system?

If going the CB route, you'll need to buy a separate PA horn to plug into it. I ordered some cheap one from Amazon (like $10) I think, and it works just fine for messing around with friends.

My setup is a Cobra 19+the generic PA horn. Also I have a cheap Whistler radar detector I hard wired. I think that was like $30-$40 on Amazon.

Does everything work like a super high end setup? Not at all. Does it work very well considering what I paid for it? Definitely.

I installed this on Black Friday. It was a pretty simple install once I was able to get the lines through the firewall. Is it a super clean install? Not really, but there are no real permanent alterations I made to the truck and can rip it all out if I choose to. the horn isn't super loud, but it does get the job done and makes people turn their head and smile. Some of the animal sounds are nowhere near realistic while some are humorous and close to the real thing. The microphone it came with is garbage and doesn't even work right. I will never use the sirens, as I prefer not to be carted off to jail.

Overall this is an amusing $36 investment, if you can call it that!

Just as a warning, I mounted my pa in the engine bay on the passenger side above the air intake and I had it on all the way up and my buddy and I were screwing around and he raised me on the cb while standing right next to me and got terrible feedback and it literally cracked my windshield
