How is the 3rd gen in the snow? We've had a few substantial storms over the past few years in Philly.

Ban the op for bringing up that 4 letter word. It will be as good as the 2nd generation, maybe even better with the multi terrain system.

Same as most any other truck. It's all about tires...

Original poster, just giving you a hard time. I like the snow too, just not the cold that comes with it.

I'm excited to find out how it does. I've never had a truck so I'm a little worried about not having any weight in the back. I may add some sandbags. I'm also kinda bummed it doesn't have a full time 4wd mode like my Jeep did. It was nice to be able to throw it in 4 full time for the first snow then leave it there until spring.

Anybody carry tire chains? Thinking about investing in a set just in case.

Funny story, the day I picked up my taco, there was a big snow storm rolling in. Grabbed a celebratory steak, and went home to ride out the snow. Next day there was about 2 foot of snow on the roads. The 4wd got a nice little workout in. The stock GY Kevlars do fine as well as the 4wd. Don't worry about it.

The day I bought mine it was snowing, drove it home and kept it in the driveway- drove the Subaru until the snow cleared- I just bought a f**kin $30k vehicle, and wasn't taking any chances until I got the feel of it. Hasn't snowed since....dammit

I hate all the salt that comes with winter. They dump so much salt up here, that the concrete is crumbling and I'm sure
its not exactly good for the environment.
The only positive of salt is it gets rid of all those crappy old cars that I use to see smoking down the road in Florida/Georgia.

I'm going to pick up a set. Not for on road but off road. These trucks would be unstoppable with the rear locker and chains.
