    Hey all,

I had the 50 put in a few days ago and I'm getting a fairly decent drone between 1000-1500 rpms. Most of my driving is city and when it shifts down and hits that range I get it fairly loud. Now here's something strange... on the passenger side it's not as bad! The suggestion is a resonator to help change the freq of that tone to reduce or remove the drone. The shop said to get a long skinny reso so that it has more time to remove some of the sound but still allow free flow of air. He also said to give it a week or two for it get some carbon build up and that may help. Any suggestions/recommendations? Also does mounting orientation make any difference? The muffler is mount on a bit of an angle versus flat.

    Thanks!

Go with the resonator. I added a resonator (Vibrant) on my Magnaflow exhaust and it still sounds good with way less drone.

After researching and talking to muffler shops I decided on the Vibrant ultra quiet. Is this the one you have as well Keith?

So the Vibrant is in and the drone is completely gone. It's almost to quiet now lol! It cut the total sound down by more then half. Here's a video of what it sounded like before. Make sure you have good speakers or headphones. As soon as it drops into OD and hits 1500 or below it kicks into drone mode. Turn up your vol right up so you can get a more realistic idea.

Give it time, it will start to sound a little louder. Mine was super quiet also, but I love the sound now.
