Go with the cheaper one, learn, then upgrade if you need to or aren't getting the results you're looking for. Both plug into a regular outlet but if they use more then 15 amps you'll probably have to get a larger breaker put in the box as most regular outlets are on 15 amp breakers, though not always.

I just picked up the Hobart 140 and I am loving it so far. I am still learning but this thing is very easy to use.

I am thinking of picking up the handler 140. I am loosing my current welder, been on loan from a friend for a year and a half lol. Its impeccable timing that i'll probably have to go to Rock Springs for a week of work in December....... overtime should cover the welder.

Ahhhh the joys of a salary job that actually pays billable time over 40 hours.

I'll throw this over here as to not muck up his thread anymore.

I know there are some at Georgetown. I'm guessing there might be some up by @Squeaky Penguin. They do quad, not sure about car/truck down on that lake by Rainbow Falls.

I have been stalling. I'm looking at spool guns also because I was thinking of working some Aluminum. Not sure what I want yet. I will go aftermarket to save money compared to Lincoln though.

I don't know of any up this way. Too much snow, there's no clear ice.

I'd be game to give it a go with rexy. Still trying to figure out how to properly drive the thing though...

Last year at the ice races in Georgetown it was a day of pulling Subies and Heeps out of the snow. They opened the gates for people to drive on, and 4 or 5 subies got stuck in the snow simultaneously. I think I pulled out 5 or 6 people during the day. It was quite fun... although I quickly found out that you wanted to hit the snow to give you direction. On the ice... its like ice, and you would just slide.

Anybody know of a white 2nd Gen DC with lift, ARB bumper, full height bed rack, and a Tepui tent that is on here? I drove by the guy yesterday on my way to a meeting and I was on a business call in my truck. Looked like he wanted to talk but I couldn't. He followed me a bit and then I turned into my meeting location.

I just wanted to say hi and that I wasn't ignoring you man.

Looks like I'm might be getting into a Prius as my daily driver. The 18 year old pick up truck with 210,000 miles just doesn't cut it for commuting around town as a daily driver, grocery getter, etc. Want to limit the miles on Ol Red.

So I'm bringing in a 2010 Prius (fully loaded... top of the line trim, solar panel, moon roof, etc) with 130K on the odo for a pre purchase inspection at my friend's shop on Monday.

I can feel my testicles transforming into ovaries as I type this.
