I see you got the trail also. Premium or no? I didnt, did not want leather seats. Only thing is, I was the trail would have came in a tan interior. But the thing rides like a dream compared to my 1st gen taco

 

Yep, it's the wife's ride, so she wanted leather and heated seats. Feels like a serious luxury car inside that thing. We also ended up with the kdss. We weren't looking for one with it, but this one was on the lot with everything she wanted, so we have it. I have very little drive time on it(3 miles), it rides fantastic though.

Need to get some mats for it, bummed when I found out the husky x-act contour that I have in the Tacoma aren't available for the 4runner.

Does yours have the slide put rear, or third row seats?

 

Nope. We didn't wanted the slide cargo thing or leather seats. No kdss either. Plan to upgrade suspension at a later point anyway. Went last Saturday to dealer and that was the only trail they had coming in until December so I took it. Also no 3rd row seats. Would be point less for us. Just us 2 plus 3 dogs. It came with the all weather mats though I'll upgrade to weather techs soon.

 

We went to a few different dealerships, hickory was the only one with any trails, and they were both premium. I wish ours didn't have anything in the back, but I was told the slider doesn't come out(I'll have to research that some more).

She wants some running boards too. So I'll either try to find a stock set somebody wants rid of, or see if the tacomas will swap over, and then I'll be forced to get some sliders.

 

How did you guys talk your wife's into getting a T4R? I need help telling mine we need one over a van.

 

She settled on that by herself. Even decided she wanted the trail without my input

you only have one kid right ? a minivan takes up too much room and is a waste of valuable driveway space, let alone useless in snow and ice ( aren't you also somewhat in a rural area ? ) 4wd 4Runner makes perfect sense....

this coming from a guy that sold his girlfriend/wife on 4Runners 20 years ago and have had at least one in the driveway since (at one time had 2 4Runners and HiLux at the same time)

 

Yea we rented one last year when I was mobilizing out of fort bliss, Tx. She loves the new ones. She just thinks a van is more practical when we have kids. So yea no kids right now. I live over near @voz. But we are looking to move back toward the garner area.

 

minivans take longer to warm up when cold, all that open space takes a while to heat...

there is practical boring and practical fun

she grew up in a minivan didn't she ? LOL, is why i always liked station wagons, and why i like the 4Runner, its a 4wd station wagon on a truck chassis.

just don't say "Station wagon" when describing one.... there is a stigma attached, kinda like "minivan"
