I bought a set of Duratrac tires a couple years ago and have taken them off and put the factory wheels/tires on in the winter. I started to notice recently that they are losing dry traction and wet traction pretty frequently. I was going to leave them on for the winter this year but I am thinking the traction will only be worse.

Has anyone else experienced the poor on-road traction with these tires and what is your experience with these in the winter?

    Thanks!

I've ran with Duratracs over 4 years/60+tmls now. They've performed well at winter and summer too, no problems. Winter traction is been much better than I expected before first winter. Recently I changed them to the new ones because the outer lamella layer was worn out (means they are not so good as they have been) and winter is coming. There was about 9-9.5 mm tread left, so these were worn about 5 mm/60000 miles. Good result.

I noticed that wet traction was reduced a little, there is never been any kind of slides at dry (full-time 4WD).
    Best tires I know.:burnrubber:
