Dang, I'm supposed to be driving thru Flag on Thursday. Keep us posted, not too excited about driving a 26' rental truck with car trailer in the snow.

I live near the sierras and we were told to expect 10 -12 feet above 6k. Thats usually how it happens here nothing than all of a sudden 5 storms in a row. The most I remember is 6 years ago we had 11 feet in 72 hours. Complete mess if you can imagine.

Any more updates? I'm planning on leaving Phx tomorrow morning so would hope to be clear of Flag (and going east on I40) by about 11am. I also have the option of the road to Payson then on to Holbrook, which would probably be less snowy but it's a much smaller road. Or taking a 2hr detour via Tucson.

    Decisions decisions!

the freeway were closed last night and this morning when i got off of work at 2 am. I wouldnt advise the payson rt, usually gets iced up pretty well. As long as your leaving for flag not too early, i think you should be good. But.............. they are expecting another big storm hit.

You got it bad up there. We left Phx on Thursday morning, pouring rain. We headed the southeast route (to Tucson then Las Cruces) then north to Albuquerque and on to Denver. Other then the rain in Phx on the Thurs and some snow around Santa Fe, it was an easy trip up to Colorado.
