    Hi,

Brand new to this forum. The rear axle on my Tacoma is shot and need the whole assembly replaced. My Tacoma is a 3.4 liter, 4x4 with locking differential and there is an axle that says is compatible for my truck but came from a 2.7 liter. See description and details below. Any issue or difference getting an axle from a 2.7 being that my truck is 3.4 ?

    Description: Rear Axle Assembly

    Fits: 2003 Toyota Tacoma
    4x2, Xtra cab, Pre Runner, w/differential lock (4.10 ratio); 4x4, w/differential lock, 4.10 ratio (6 cyl); 4x2, Double Cab (4 door), w/differential lock (4.10 ratio)
    Condition: Very Good
    Mileage: [IMG]
    Warranty: 1-Year (policy)

Just what is wrong that the whole axle needs replaced .

Land to hard and bend things beyond pulling it straight again??

As long as your differential ratios are the same front and back

Hi, Thanks. Housing rusted out has pin hole in it. Due to this and lack of knowledge to have oil change service to check differentials, truck froze up yesterday and tore up the gears. Oil change service only checks gear oil levels on axles if asked.
