Listening to the radio out of Susanville, CA, mentioned a pair or wolves have been caught on one of those wildlife cameras, twice I guess. Interesting, will have to see if ranchers shoot them or not. The solo wolf that came down here, within 20 miles I'd say from where I live, has supposedly found a mate in OR and has not been seen for some time now in CA. Would be cool to hear a wolf in the wild, I might have heard one in Sept. when I was in Glacier NP in Montana on a backpacking trip. Another party mentioned it to me the next AM.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
Come on over to northern Minnesota and you can hear them all the time. I'm in my deer stand right now and should hear them in the next couple of hours as the sun goes down. Had 5 walk right underneath me a couple years ago. Wolves are cool. I have no idea why anyone would kill one deliberately .

What I heard was pretty faint, heard Elk the first day hiking in, in the light snowfall. Between illegal pot growers and now maybe wolves coming back, tough row to hoe for ranchers in remote NE Kalifornia counties. OR7, the lone wolf came down to my area over a year ago, but has retreated back to OR and seems to have found a mate, but have not heard or remember if they have a litter yet. Would be neat here to hear a wolf. The radio also mentioned that people are releasing wolf crosses into the wild too, don't know if they could survive or how true that is.
