Buy once, cry once. If your shocks are already shot, just run them into the ground and save up for the right stuff and you will be much happier with the set up in the long run. I'm running ToyTec boss shocks in the rear(with Dakars, getting AAL soon), with Camburg badged sway away coil-overs in the front. it took longer to save up for, but I am much happier than my original spacer and shackle lift.

I did 5125's in the rear, they are ok. After coming back from 10 days in Moab, and witnessing Icon's first hand. I'll be switching eventually. I may even get rid of the Toytec BOSS fronts too.

Ive heard icon has poor customer service. It makes me not even want to look into them. Im spending the $ on OME springs but dont have the $ in my budget for rear bilsteins yet. Ordered some skyjacker hydros for now till i can get 5100s for the rear to.

Interesting with the CS issues. It's way off in the future for me however. My buddy was running a GMC Yukon with a SAS and King double coilovers. His Kings were nice as well...

I have ICONs all around and Dakars in the rear. The rear shocks were badly under dampened for these rear springs. I sent them to ICON because they offer one free revalving with in one year of purchase.
Now the suspension is awesome, floats over the rough stuff and a decent ride on the highway. I have called them several times with questions and they have been very helpful. I highly recommend them.

When I got my front Icon ext. travel 2.5 CO's. I had a few questions about different stuff including the max pre load etc. They not only helped me out, they also mentioned to me that they have YouTube videos that you can watch that show step by step installation & how to adjust your Icon coil overs. It's really easy and I didn't need to watch the videos but for novice people who have never done it before. Those YouTube videos can be priceless since the price of the coil overs can make you change your mind when you have to pay to have them installed. They know their stuff. You just have to ask.

What exactly did you have done as far as revalving them to match the dakars so nicely? Anything specific, or did you just tell them what you had for spring packs(dakars) and they took over from there?

Now this is awesome news. I too have Dakars out back, and the worst thing for me in Moab was the rough roads you could go a decent speed on, not the crawling and climbing. There were a few of us and I was left in the dust. An 06 4Runner with FJ springs and Bilstines was Cadillacing over this crap and leaving me behind. I realize he's coil springs vs my leafs but I still think there's room for improvement. I may need a rear bumper for some weight and different valving.

Actually I know I need a rear bumper... I did Kane's Creek and Poison Spider with stock bumpers and never hit the front. But dragged the shit out of the rear receiver and a few times the bumper itself.

I wrote a letter describing the springs I have and there spring rate (the Dakars are 125 lbs/in). I described my driving style, the terrain I drive and issues I was have. For me it was the rear end chattering around on sharp edge stuff and wash board dirt roads. On 'G' outs and sand woops the rear would 'jump out' with no load in the bed or wallowing a few times with a heavy load.
Or if your willing to take my suggestion, have them revalve to service reference #13184. This setting has worked very well for me.

I was talking about the shit (Skyjacker's and Rancho's) that you listed as shit. :D

I have Dakars with OME rears and it rides fine imo. OME shocks are $9 more than the bilsteins a pair.

You don't have to have Drake Waterfowl stuff to hunt with.

For $100 difference I'd hold off and buy once.

I probably would have gave you an almost brand new set of skyjackers free. thats how spine tingling bad they are. they are universally valved whitebodies for a full size truck and only specd for a Tacoma length wise.
