Vehicle Stolen

My buddies tacoma was stolen last night in the East Los Angeles Area. It has a missing tailgate and is a 2012 Silver DCSB. License plate is 79694k1. A report has been filed with LASD. A neighbor of his said that the theft happened in less than a minute. It appeared that these individuals had some sort of device to open the vehicle as if they had a programmed key (my buddy has both sets in his possession). Please be on the lookout for it. If you see it call the Los Angeles Sheriffs department.

 

Man, I hate hearing about shit like this. I'll keep a lookout. Any mods or anything on it to help distinguish it? Stickers, bumpers, lift, etc.?

 

Bone stock, like I said the only real distinguishable feature about it is the missing tailgate as that was stolen about a month prior. Was just washed so it will be clean not filthy dirty unless these thief's dirtied it.

 

Sorry for your friend. Hope he finds the truck asap and they throw those assholes in jail!

According to the sheriffs there has been an increased trend in the Los Angeles County of reported thefts of Tacomas. So everyone lock your vehicle, take out personal belongings, and park underneath lights. If possible get a security system for your car and or cameras pointed on your vehicle.

 

I hate to say it, but its probably already in Mexico.

Tell me about it, I work the Montebello area sometimes as a cable tech and they are out there and growing in size thats for sure.

Right on, I'm in that area a lot too.

I'm the area field manager for U-Haul, Los Angeles East company. We recover a lot of our stolen or embezzled trucks in that area. It's really terrible how bad its getting...

I live in the area, I'll be on the look out for your buddy's truck. Hope they recover it.

 

Did they find it yet? Pics and description of any unique features of a truck can help. Those tend to catch more attention than license plate.
