I'm looking at the A.R.E. Z Series lid, which I think is pretty damn nice looking, and I'm wondering about the options for this lid.

For example, the Yakima rails that can be installed at the factory. Do those rails take a specific Q-tower? I have a Yakima rack from my Honda Civic and was wondering if I can attach that to the lid with the Yakima rails, or would I need to purchase a specific Q-tower for the lid.

Second, the LED lights that can be installed from the factory. It looks like they do a good clean installation of these. I've seen quite a few DIY LED truck lid installs. Some look ok, some look not so good. Is it worth paying A.R.E. to install an LED system? Or does someone have a link for a really nice, and relatively simple LED install for a lid.

Thank you. I posted this over on the other forums. Any way to delete this thread?

Get the rails factory installed. You'll need a Yakima landing pad...I'll have to look up the number and skyline towers. Then pick any of the three bars.

The factory led is nice but ask your dealer if they have a cheaper cost yet similar option. Or pick your own led product and ask for help here in TW for how to wire.

I'd recommend the electronic lock option then consider an electronic pop n lock for your tailgate so both with your factory fob.

Just be careful that you don't get too carried away with all the creative storage solutions...

Now that I'm seeing a few more different styles, and uses, I'm kinda thinking of going with the Overland series with side opening slider windows since I'll be using this for camping. I really like what this guy did with his cap and bed.
