California better pass it if they know what's good for them. they would at least match Colorados annual revenue (over 1billion) and with the cigarette tax (another $2 per box) they could more than get out of debt, fund all school and hospital renovations and at least start a decent homeless housing plan for LA (worst in the country by far)

The biggest issues facing it are policing it. alcohol is legal but you can't drive over a .08 bac, there is no way to determine how "high" someone is and when they last smoked.

As for jobs (this has been an issue in my field, if it's legal then can it get removed from the list of drugs not allowed) it would be the same with many prescriptions . in my work you cannot be on ANY drug (prescription) that can alter your decision making skills (pretty much all opiates and narcotics)

Speaking of Colorado's public schools..... both myself and my wife are considering moving there for that very reason. Our jobs pay TWICE as much in Colorado vs. Georgia. Granted, the cost of living in some areas of Colorado is absurd.

Good point about regulating pot. A nightmare I guess keeping tabs on water use, papertrail. From my understanding, at least in Kalifornia, a papertrail is required from start to finish for growing pot to sale. Who's gonna check up on all that paperwork? More bureaucracy.
The biggest problem we have in rural N Kalifornia are cartel grows. They poison wildlife, use herbicides which pollute the water and they leave TONS of hazardous waste. They put out poison bait stations to kill deer etc., it has an effect on everything else that may eat a dead animal from what I hear. Not good for us who like rural life or visitors coming here.
