I was installing a satellite antenna cable and found this mystery connector under the shift lever on the left (driver's) side. Anyone know what it is for?

I would like to think it would come in handy if I needed some 12V power under the arm rest......

May be for the power inverter option.

All I know is that it was plugged in in my truck. Didn't follow the wire to see what it was connected to but it'd be easy enough to check for power.

Sorry about that, I just wanted to know if there was an open power plug down there.

Could it be the connection for the back up cam?

My old Camry was pre-wired for the camera and the plug stopped at about the same spot.

I guess it's because they only use one wiring harness. Would cost more if they built one specific for each trim package.

I don't know. It's a 2007 if that makes a difference on the camera. Did these things come with heated seats? Do you have a heated drivers seat, stickyTaco?

I don't have heated seats but I have a TRD off-road sons t could be related to the ATRAC or locker or it could be related to the JBL entune (sat antenna maybe...I think all the wiring for the sub runs up the passenger side).

You might be on to something with the backup camera.
