Nope! The park is absolutely free to use. It is land owned and managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. There is almost every terrain out there for a little bit of everything. Trails in the woods, rocks, boulders, ledges, creek runs, and so on. Here is one of the videos I made from a past trip down there.

Really want to make this happen! Already ran it by my HMFIC, and I think my Bro-in-Law my tag along with me. I've got family in the KC area... maybe we should post something up to see if any of the KC area guys want to join.

You thinking just a day trip, or possible camping?

I would have to be a day trip only. I work mandatory Saturdays unless I get it off WELL in advance, already taking one off in November anyways for a long range shooting competition, so I know I won't be able to get two off.

I know some of the KC guys, I will make a post and hopefully we can get a few of them to join.

Right on. I'll probably head down to KC on Saturday and stay with my 'rents... I'm 90% sure I'm in. Not sure how technical the trails are, and my truck isn't super modified. I'll still go for a good time though.

Check out the video I linked above. There is also another Tuttle video on my YouTube channel that the video above is on. Trails for everything really.

It's a blast though. Ultimately want to get down there myself at 8, Air down and be on the trails ready to go at 830. Wheel 830 to 430.

Sounds good to me. My parents are in Leavenworth, KS, and according the Google Machine, it's about 2 hours from there. 0800 is definitely doable.

Awesome! The good thing is, that a lot of the more technical stuff will have some ways around the big ledges and all that. Something for everyone there.

Hey guys, I have been looking into lifts and I was wondering if anyone in the area would mind helping me install it? OME 3 inch with Deavers. I have some mechanical experience but I have never tackled a job like this before. Sorry I couldn't make it to the last meet, life got in the way. Looks like you guys had a blast though! Hopefully I can get to the next one.

Are you doing UCAs too? I suggest you take the springs to get assembled to a local shop (most should do it for ~$40). After that it's pretty straight forward. I wouldn't mind giving you a hand...

I'll most likely get the kit that is pre assembled. I'll get with you when I get the stuff rounded up. I have an 80 series I'm going to list for sale so I can be able to get UCAs at the same time as the kit. Thanks!

I just saw this for some reason. Man, I wish I could. Too busy of a weekend. I may be too hungover depending on the outcome of Ohio State (where I went to school) and Nebraska (where I work).

I won't be able to make it. I'll be running a few errands while I'm on my way out... TO ALASKA!!!! I just found out I got orders. I'm leaving in February. Engine block heater, snow tires, heated seats, and heated mirrors are already in the mail.

Hey all! I'm starting at Baxter Toyota in Lincoln on Monday as a salesperson. Let me know if you're in the market for anything new or used. Alright, that's it for my sales pitch!

What I'd like to know from you guys is if I'd get an actual Tacoma owners group started, do you think we'd have the numbers to support it? Maybe we could do an annual trip to Colorado or something. Or get together and drink some beer and compare notes. Anything.

I've got some ideas regarding the dealership being more supportive of the Tacoma cult following. I've had 6 to date (well, 2 weren't technically Tacomas, and yes, I miss the hell outta my straight axles!). Anyway, give me ideas to take to my service department, sales...whatever. No ideas are too wild.

Thanks for hearing me out fellas. I look forward to meeting all of you. If ya just want shoot the breeze and let me check out your Yote, I'd appreciate that too.
