Finally getting ready to jump into my suspension and wanted to see if I am missing anything. Have not done anything really to my Tacoma.

I decided to go mid-travel and not long travel as I do not want to get into body mods and as much as Ill use it, Long travel is more than I would need but I am still going with a good setup none the less.

Any thoughts on anything I am missing or would be great to have although not required would be great. I was told I won't need extended brake lines with this setup.

The Taco is 13' DoubleCab TRD Offroad V6 with a Leer Shell on it. Been debating if I need to go with higher spring rate due to this.

Decided to go with King over Icon (this was my first choice) after reading tons of reviews and the big kicker was the lack of customer services from Icon and the awesome service from King.

KING-25001-119A OEM Performance King Shocks Front Coil Overs Only With Compression Adjuster

KING-25001-121A OEM Performance King Shocks Rear Shocks Only With Compression Adjuster

    TC-96504 - Total Chase UCA

OME CS047R 2.75" Leaf Spring Dakar w/ Old Man Emu Fitment Kit FK29 (Driveshaft Spacer) and
Tacoma Leaf Spring Bushings for CS047R OME Springs.

AllPro - U-Bolt Flip Kit with Timbren Bumpstops

Also will prob grab a Motor Guard fro my e-Locker.

If anyone has a similar setup, show me what you got. Still undecided on what wheel/tire combo I am going to go with. Something big but not tot he point I have to start modding the truck further (I say this now). Any wheel/Combo suggestions would be great but that will be another search or thread. Will post up Photos when I get to wrenching..

Shell isn't going to do much to your front end, so I wouldn't worry about upgrading spring rates unless you plan on adding additional weight to the body (sliders, skids, etc,.) or front end weight like bumper/winch.

You might consider ordering some axle shims as well, just in case you need them. I ordered everything I might need to chase vibes and luckily didn't need any of it and sold it here, but it was nice to have everything at once, since shipping costs on small $10 items can be more than the item itself.

Makes sense on the springs. Maybe eventually Ill swap out the front end, skids etc but probably not anytime soon. Only thing I may get are sliders for the sides in the near term. I am going to shoot for a 3" lift as I do want to get some decent size tire on there. Anything to consider there? ill look into the Axle Shims. I figure the driveshaft spacer would take care of any vibes.

You can fit 285s (most people go with those) with sub 3" and have less issues with angles/UCAs.. also the more you crank those coilovers, ride and performance both will get worse.

Most shoot for 2.5" and trim for 285s (or bigger).. I linked this to the NorCal BS thread since a lot of guys are running this setup or similar and might have more insight than me, I don't have hands on with this kit, just going off what I've read.

If I went Extended Travel, what would I have to consider here? Basically looking to get 3" and decent tire setup. 35" would be nice but not sure i want to cut fenders etc at least not right now. Came back to this again about extended travel since I would be dropping a good amount on this lift in the first place.
