    i searched first.

this is a 2005 only issue? or early 2006 as well. my truck is a April/2006 truck.

i'm just wondering. i have 120k miles and my coolant level never moves. if it does move, i'm dumping the truck and buying something new. i saved up the money and i'm ready. this is more out of curiosity and trying to learn something.

Just because you lose coolant, it does not mean the headgasket is the culprit, especially on a 11 years old vehicle...

There are a couple ways coolant can escape, Radiator, Radiator Cap, Old Coolant Hoses, etc. Yes a head gasket can be one of the causes as well but it's not the only one.

i believe the issue was for 05 and half of 06 but overall its not like 100% of those years has the issue. Water pump could be weeping, old hoses, weak clamps, rad etc can all leak a little coolant.

i know the usual suspects. but my question was just a head gasket question. that's all.
