dual exhaust

who makes a (cat back) dual exhaust system that the pipes exit behind the rear tire (factory location) but on on both sides for 06' Tacoma double cab ???

 

as far as i know......flowmaster and mbrp have dual set-ups for the 4.0 tacomas. they both sound pretty good....but they are pricey as hell!! why not get an exhaust to install some duals(muffler-single in/dual out) as it will be alot cheaper than buying said catback?? i had duals(flowmaster 40/pipes out the back/stainless 3 inch tips) installed on the 06 prerunner that i had.....and i got it done for $300......which is a sight better than $500-$575 which i have seen catbacks go for!!

damn i really never liked the sound of the baffleness of flow, but damn tacomaman06 that sounds beastly!! very nice +1

 

I don't think anyone makes one that exits out the back.....I've been looking over the past year or so and haven't seen any that exit directly out the back. It's probably due to the spare tire and not enough room to 'route' around it.

 

he's wanting one that exits behind both tires....i was just letting him know he could get one done custom, but still have the pipes run behind each tire for way cheaper than an actual catback.

yeah.....thats kinda what he's looking for.......but you can get an exhaust shop to make it cheaper, way cheaper than you can buy the catback.

 

Like everyone else has said, just get an exhaust shop to make it the exact way you want it for alot cheaper. I had a custom one built and Im very happy with the end result And on a side note, that flowmaster does sound quite nice

 

I had a 1-inlet 2-outlet Tundra muffler installed at my exhaust guy and I had him fabricate two pipes to run right around ths spare (they run one over the other at that point) then exit out one side nascar style just beyond the rear leafs instead of under the leafs behind the back tire the way Toyota did with the original single pipe. You could NEVER find that kind of bolt-on versitility anywhere. The beauty of it is NOBODY has what I have Go to your exhaust pro and have it done YOUR way! All you gotta do is choose a muffler with dual outlets that is to your liking, and take it to him and tell him EXACTLY how you want it to exit. Mine costed me $250 including pipes and nice stainless/chrome tips! Not bad at all!!
