Thats the thing, I want it to be capable. I would hate to invest money into it and be limited. Am I going to be rock crawling, never. But I would like to be able to hit the trials and be comfortable knowing that my equipment can handle that beating no problem. My only thing is my budget is around $1200, maybe thats not ever realistic but I'm kind of shooting for that range. I know that going with a coil over reservoir from FOX will kill my bank account, which is no bueno.

Not sure of budget, but bilstein is best budget lift IMO, then OME, then the fox, icon, king stuff. The bilstein kit is capable. What part of the country are you in? Will you be hitting washboards at speed, or meandering ? The higher dollar coilovers soak up the bumps better than the billys, but at a cost.

    OME Lift
Remember that's just suspension. Bigger tires will also lift the truck. So it's the lift + tires that gives you the overall look.

Socal, probably won't be hitting anything with speed

if I was going 3",i'd be looking at a 255-75-17 tire with a wheel that gave me 1" less backspace,(8/8.5" wheel)that way,my tire/wheel setup would extend out to fill the wheelwell...not sure if it would fit without minor trimming,at 3",there may be no trimming as the lift would put the widest part(circumference)of the tire well below any interference issues(maybe)

Just get the parts you need used. I got the 885 coils, spacer for the drivers side, sway bar relocate, carrier drop bar, new U-bolts and a Deaver 1.5 inch AAL for 280 so all I need are new shocks-300~. So about 580-600 total. I might end up getting Dakars down the road but this will tide me over on the rear for now
