I was wondering if anyone had any solutions to this problem. I have read the other forums about this but its all 1st and 2nd gen tacos. I have a 3" lift and am having a fair amount of vibration from the front left side. Toyota says its the front diff caused by the lift kit. I'm lucky because I had them install it before driving it off the lot so they are covering it through warranty however they are only replacing the front diff and then removing the lift kit because they say this is the only solution and the warranty will be void if they don't do this. I'm probably going to get it done aftermarket now and was also looking for recommendations on lift brands or if its better to go with just a body lift, full suspension lift, etc. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Get them to put a TRD Pro suspension on it. Its OEM. Maybe expensive, but you won't have any issues. Also, the amount of lift you will get ~2" will be simple to align and will still look good.

    Always in process
The East Coast Gear supply bushing kit will fix the toyota designed differential bearing that is causing the vibration

Roll of the dice. I've driven stock trucks with this issue. Mine was fine until I lifted it. Your new diff may have the same issues, it really just looks like luck when it comes to this problem.

If you experience this problem after lifting it Is it possible to alleviate it with a diff drop?

Are they refunding you the cost you paid for the lift? If it was done at the dealership, you paid thousands for it.

That all has to do with what you plan on putting on your truck. If you add a steal off road bumper and winch to the front you'll need stiffer springs and shocks. If you plan to stay stock get the light kit. You can always call and they will talk you through it.

Hey OP - Ok lifting didn't work first time around. Any lift over 2" gets fairly complicated. Best to have a reputable shop that "knows lifting trucks" to work on it.

That said... start over.. what do you want to do with your truck off road and on.. what kind of driving... 3" lift good for rock crawling for example... its all a compromise so best to fit lift to your actual "needs.

I got +2" lift with larger wheels tires and 5100s with OME 885s and Icon AALs. Love it.. smooth and great for around town ... I don't rock crawl.

Pretty easy to get aligned and do the work. Over 2" you probably are at at least 2X the cost AND difficulty.. is it worth it?

We just install the ECGS bushing, my own truck has it, gets rid of 90% of the noise/vibes. The diff replacement is extreme cases.
