Ok so I bought the headlights you see in the first picture. So I installed them all was fine and then I noticed one bulb was dimmer than the other so I decided to order some mictuning leds.

I got those today installed drivers side then went to install passenger side and notice that the other bulb melted!:angrygirl::annoyed: Now I don't know what to do. Is it even safe to drive knowing electricity still goes to it? I can't get the bulb out as it has melted together.

Help please! Anyone find me those Off road headlights for my sr5

Also does this headlight look like a direct replacement for my 2017 sr5 4x4 3.5l Black?

    Don't know what this means.
It was the plastic housing where you turn the bulb and lock it in. I might just get it.
Don't know why it's funny. But glad you enjoyed it.

You have to avoid getting oil from your fingers on the bulbs, as that allows certain areas of the bulb to perform differently, heating up just that area and potentially leading to failure. You should also use dielectric grease if you're going to be getting wet or if you live in a rainy area.

You could hold a lighter to the plastic and push it back into place . Kidding aside, assuming you don't live someplace that requires lights on at all times, disconnect your lowbeams and run DRLs + fogs (if you have them) in the meantime. It won't help you when it's dark but people can see you.

It's hard to tell from your pictures. Did the halogens melt your housing or did the LEDs? They look like CREEs, and are lower wattage than I know myself and others on TW use.

Thanks I'll disconnect them for now. It was the halogen that melted the housing where it locks into.

You might have not connected the bulb correctly into the housing . Must have slipped off and started to melt the socket.
