    Yeah.
I always ride clipped now. I tried flats on my fat bike last season, and going fast over rough chatter just causes my feet to bounce off the pedals too much. I use the Shimano Trail pedals with the small surrounding platform and keep mine adjusted pretty loose. 5.10 Kestrels are awesome.

I switch back and forth from clipped. I'm way faster clipped and it helps on super tech or bumpy trails, but I enjoy getting loose and throwing a foot out and riding sketchy logs sometimes where I am happier unclipped.

I stay unclipped 100% of the time for downhill though-

Well shit...you ride anywhere in the offseason? Always down for new Dh spots granted I think reading is pretty close to you right?

Looks like it was well executed. Its funny when you see people start to go over the bars and they don't naturally want to let go.

I stick to my trail bike mostly, it has enough travel for most stuff. I am only 20 minutes from Glen Park in Stroudsburg PA, which is a pretty fun trail system. You can run shuttles there.

Reading is a little over an hour and a half away but I have never been.

However, I'm moving to Denver next month, so I'll have a whole new area to ride.

Damn man I want to move there eventually. Being in CO will be a whole new level of possibilities. Reading has some solid shuttling spots, its home to Neko Mulally. The cool thing is I think a couple years ago they finally got approval to make gravity stuff there so they def have some good rocky shit as well features and jumps.

Yeah, I've seen some rad stuff that Neko has built, looks like fun. Some ladders and stuff.

I am for sure stoked about CO. Have to figure out how to move and get rid of stuff, including selling off my 2wd tacoma. prob need 4x4 out there.

No, it's the aluminum frame, I've had carbon fiber before, just too damn flexy!

If it flexes in the right place it can be good. I know when doing shuttling though I get scared shitless everytime I have a pedal next to my frame though. I do prefer an aluminum bike for peace of mind though.
