Latest Serius Radio Renewal Price

I received an invoice asking for $119 for the next six months... that includes a fee just for sending me an invoice!

I need to through and read what's included with it. I could probably live without the radio part. But the westher and traffic are kind of nice. I don't know what doesn't work anymore if you let it expire.

My last car I just waited and waited closer to the expiration date. The offers got better and better until I finally renewed.

You can haggle with them, they'll drop it down a good bit.
Just tell them that you only use it for music and that pandora one is cheaper than their service unless they can make a deal with you.

 

29.99 plus taxes for 6 months after my free trial ended. They wanted 119 for a year , i said no thanks then started getting the 6 month offers for a better deal. Im good for at least another 4 months , i dont know what they'll offer me then. I allso paid by money order through mail so they couldnt automatically renew me at full price after 6 months.

 

Weather + Traffic is done via HD Radio and has nothing to do with Sirius.

Let it expire.

 

Anybody paying full price is a schmuck.

Tell them you don't want it for $20 a month and they'll say "okay.. how does $3 a month sound?"

 

Sirius radio is a waste of $$, use Spotify (free version), unless you're a sports fan, then you're screwed lol. Weather and Nav are not affected.

 

Ever since I installed a new 2014 head unit in my 2012 about two yrs ago, I've had free xm radio. Have no idea how it's happening.

 

Tell them your are going to cancel and they with tell they have a six month deal for 29bucks plus the fee

 

They just called me trying to get me to renew a couple times and I told them their stations were crap. HD and streaming are free and I don't have to listen to live tracks every other song.

They send me these damn emails about every week. They were calling begging to keep it but told them to buzz off.

 

I wish the auto makers would quit giving a 6 month free trial, I have never even turned sirius on in the last three vehicles I've owned! Sirius will never stop sending ads to renew. I am still getting this is your last chance to renew your prescription notice!

 

Too much money for too little benefit. Pandora is great.

 

I can confirm this is correct. Interestingly enough, mine expired as I was going to lunch. Weather and traffic still work.

 

I cant remember what I pay. I use the sirius phone app and blue tooth it in my other cars and listen just on the phone.

 

It's negotiable. Just call and play the game, for some reason they won't do a lower price for a year. So the $5 a month for 6 is the best I've found. Even with multiple devices.

 

Yup...6mo for $30 is rock bottom. I think thats the Select package which covers most of the stuff. I cant justify a dime more than that for sat radio. I actually find myself using the USB stick more and more - so whats the point.

You also have 2 options on the payment+renewal...

1. Provide them a disposable credit card number (Citibank and others offer that...discover ended it...etc).
I create one with a $40 cap and only good for 3 mo. Then the card is useless.

2. Tell them you only want to make a 1 time payment with this card and NOT to keep it on file.
So far, that has worked. I've never been charged automatically.

Many people are paying $169/yr for this package and I dont get that. But whatever

 

I refuse to pay for radio. I wasn't impressed with it during the 'free' trial, so I won't pay to keep it.
