I can tell you that the smell of all three, baking on the pavement after a fatal car crash in mid July, is something I will never be able to forget.

Yeah no kidding man, HATERS! This is what happened: I was driving the speed limit (45mph) NOT ON MY PHONE, and a traffic cop was directing traffic through and intersection.(not sure why because all the street lights seemed to work) but anyway, there were two cars ahead of me about 20 yards and they were about to go through the intersections green light when the cop told them to stop at the last second while a car was already in the process of making a turn in the intersection. The two people in front of me slammed on their brakes very hard to the point where I thought one of them was going to T-bone the car turning in the intersection. I slammed on my brakes as hard as I could but it was too late. Hit the car in front of me going around 35-40mph. Luckily she had a 1995 Mercury which was a freaking boat and just pushed her through the intersection. She ended up driving the car after we exchanged info. Airbag deployed and all but I didn't care, I jumped out and was seeing what damage was done to Phillip. There were around 12 cop cars around already for a reason I do not know, so all of them came over to me and made sure I was good. The lady in the car I hit was fine. I had 3 witnesses including the lady I hit stating the traffic cop made a last second decision to make all of up stop immediately which in return ended in this accident. I was originally cited for " not being able to control my vehicle " but a police sergeant came up to me and dismissed my citation. I am going to hear back from that sergeant soon since he believes it was no ones fault but the officer and I shouldn't be blamed for the accident. I just spoke to insurance and they believe it will be repaired and not a total loss. So I guess we will wait and see how much I am getting! PHILLIP IS NOT DONE YET!

Pretty ballsy statement considering the OP didn't even explain the crash at that time...some are just dicks.

If I had your ride I would of reacted the same way...I hope Phillip lives on man. Makes you wonder if the cop is deemed at fault for this, what penalty could the officer be charged with?

Crazy, looks like you hit a brick wall. Glad you're ok, and optimistic that the officer will probably take fault. It's very rare to not get faulted in a rear-end collision. Good luck with everything in the next few weeks.

Well I just learned that in Latin, the name Philip means " lover of horses ". Pretty interesting. I named my truck Phillip because most of my friends named their trucks girl names and I wanted to be different, so I just typed in generic, common names on the internet, found a huge list of some, closed my eyes and randomly picked one. And Phillip was born!
