I know this might sound stupid. But do we install the BD tune before or after the SC install. It didn't really specify. :anonymous:

Yep, it adds up pretty quick. $325 for a pair of Innovate LC-2s, $400 in Speedhut gauges, $150 worth of gaskets and stuff from Sparks Toyota, $50 worth of coolant from the local dealer, $350 for the 2.85 pulley/tool/fuel pump upgrade from URD, $150 worth of Russell fittings and stuff to properly mount the external fuel filter, $25 for a supercharged emblem... Probably some other stuff I forgot.

Oh yeah, $4,065 for a supercharger...

And damn it, Mobtown off-road is having a black November sale.

I really need a bedcover too.

    This truck is expensive.

I decided that a fundamental key to my happiness was to delete the spreadsheets I had detailing the mod and spend logs for my Tacomas and motorcycles.

Magnuson S/C, Relentless armor, Icon/Dakar suspension, Konig CountersteerX 17", KO2's, Hellwig rear swaybar, BudBuilt Trac Bar, Level 10 VBU, Weathertech floorliners, Cravenspeed antenna, Redline elite hood struts, RollnLock, Satoshi, CBI sliders
$4k for the supercharger, $3k in additional supporting mods.

Still, when you consider Magnuson was selling the S/C for $6k alone, if kinda makes you feel better. But it's still an illusion.

I agree, unless yours is a manual transmission.

It is the 3rd one. I just did the update on the GT. I'll load the tune on the truck tomorrow. I'll be starting my install bright and early in the AM.

Yes, obviously you'll want to chose the correct transmission type! I have a tricky knee and I drive like a grandpa anyway, so mine are all autos.

The Magnuson installation instructions say to install the tune first.

I thought about this a little and this is how I see it. If for some reason the tune upload screws something up, it will be a lot easier to diagnose the truck when it is mechanically in stock form.

You have multiple variables when you have a tune AND a supercharger kit. If it's just the tune and everything else is stock, you know the tune is to blame.

I just uploaded the tune a few minutes ago. I just verified after uploading the tune that engine starts and runs before I started doing anything mechanical to it.
