I ordered the inferno one of these and since the economy grilles are being shipped and received now I am hoping it comes soon! Looks good man, will look great installed. My grille will be my last mod for a while (so I say anyway).

Installed before work today love the simplicity of the economy grille, subtle not too much. Took me about 45min and the hardest part was lining the bolts up and getting the grille to sit flush. I'm also happy Jerry sent the rubber grommets but they are a PITA to get to seat correctly the fit is seal tight but I managed. Overall I love it and am super happy to have a great designed grille like this and it didn't even break the bank which makes it even better! Thanks Jerry! :thumbsup:IMG_7811.jpgIMG_7816.jpg IMG_7817.jpgIMG_7818.jpg

sorry if this has been asked before.. When will the payment be charged, immediately upon purchase or when the product ships? My wife wouldn't be keen on the price right now with xmas a month away.. but if it takes 3 months to ship, wouldn't be so much a concern.

Also, $103 to ship a 13 pound box.. ouch.

Shipping is expensive but its a big ass box from what i can tell. Not sure if the grilles would be included but there are rumors of a black friday sale!

input the estimated dimensions of the box and estimated weight (24x8x6 @ 13 lbs) into UPS shipping and UPS ground estimates it at $57 to ship. Could be off by a few inches but i don't think its off by $49...For $103, you could technically purchase 2nd day air shipping. But he could have hidden charges for commercial companies like package pick-up, multiple packages, etc.

Yeah I did some cost estimating as well and found it difficult to get the price to $103 ($108 actually for UPS). That is in the 50+ pound weight category.

But I understand. I'm sure there is care given to the package process so they probably inflate the price to account for that.

Not everything can be Amazon Prime. I have probably 1000+ lbs of deliveries sent to my door throughout the year for less than this one item will cost me. :D

Jlee has already explained the shipping situation.
The weight is not the issue. Special oversized box, add in packaging material, Payroll to properly secure/box/label/tracking, etc.
IIRC he said it's basically break even point to ship these beasts.

The boxes are pretty large and shipping is all over the place on these or I would just work into the price but I don't want to make everyone pay a flat rate on them when someone out west can get it shipped much cheaper. Also our shipping mark up is only 5% and that doesn't even cover packing materials most of the time.

$100 is worth it to make sure it arrives unharmed. I'm sure all the packing material used and the custom oversized box isn't cheap. You won't even think about the shipping cost once it is installed. I know I haven't...
