So I get a rolling suspension feel at high speed when I go over bumps on the highway. It feels as though the right rear shock is not functioning correctly. Maybe its the weight distribution in the truck. I the 17 sport 4x4 double cab. Does anyone else feel this? Its hard to describe but as your going over, the truck doesnt go up and down like ALL my other trucks/cars have in the past but rolls over and there is an imbalance in the way that all four corners rise and fall making the back right feel soft at highway speeds. It doesnt give me a ton of confidence at high speeds. I get the same feeling when the truck is empty and loaded with gear.

The sport suspension is well different... it's actually harsh, maybe that's what you're feeling.

I switched to 5100s and Icon AALs all that feeling is gone and replaced with a nice smooth stiffer ride, no rolling in turns and mega confidence at highway speeds... and not harsh at all.

If you're talkin over 90mph... its a pickup truck, it's not going to be hugging the road at those speeds.

Im talking speeds between 60 and 80mph. Not crazy high speeds. but I was also thinking that these stock shocks are garbage. I wasnt wanting to have to replace in 2k miles but I might just have to

i would take a look at your shocks and see if there's any oil leaking. i have had so many shock & strut failures over the years, and i could always describe it like this, especially if you think you are perceiving something uneven either L-R or F-R.

If all you want to do is change the shocks, get the 4600s from the Off Road trucks - they are the same ride as the 5100s. Guys are selling them in the for sale forum cheap. Big difference in ride quality.

I hear what you are saying....I had a 2014 4drSB and traded it for my 2016 Limited. Noticed the difference in the handling & ride right away. The 2014 rode like a truck should, whereas the 2016 rides like a 4 door sedan ! Evidently Toyota changed the spring/shock rates on the Limited for whatever reason. Did a round trip to Atlanta and back from Tampa....weaved & bobbed all over the road. No wind to mention & no over the limit speeds....noticed when I would go over speed bumps in the" hood " the truck would bounce at least 3 more times before settling down. Talked with Toyota and they were not much help. They did check the alignment and rebalanced all four wheels. Ordered a Stage 1 adjustable suspension package from Icon.........WOW what a difference !! Amazing ride, firm but not harsh.
